New research from leading park operator Park Leisure has revealed that 77 per cent of Brits aspire to own a holiday home in the UK, with popular destinations including Cornwall, The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Following a turbulent year for the travel industry, demand for UK holiday homes is on the increase again, with Google search data showing double the number of searches in early January 2021 compared to the same time last year.

The survey also revealed the most desirable locations to own a holiday home, with Cornwall coming in first with 21 per cent of the vote, the Lake District second with 13 per cent, the Yorkshire Dales third with nine per cent, the Scottish Highlands fourth with eight per cent and London fifth with seven per cent. With its beautiful beaches, it is no surprise that one in five named Cornwall as the most desirable place in the UK to invest in a holiday home, with Park Leisure also keen to explain that it has three parks in the county, where people can find their own dream holiday home, with prices starting at £39,995.
