Can you spare some time to help others? if so, and you live in a park home, why not consider becoming an IPHAS advisor?

IPHAS is a national residents’ association – the initials stand for Independent Park Home Advisory Service. It is run by volunteers based in various parts of the country who work from their own homes. IPHAS offers advice and information to anyone contemplating park home living, or who is already a resident.

Team members have studied and are totally familiar with park home legislation and work alongside Government and various Government department officials to promote and review changes in legislation.

Anyone volunteering to be an advisor will find the work fascinating. IPHAS would expect you to be computer literate and to have an interest in all aspects relating to park home living.

If this sounds like something you could tackle, you could be sure of receiving comprehensive training to familiarise yourself with park home legislation and, as a trainee, you would be mentored by an IPHAS consultant.

There are a quarter of a million people living in park homes and many of them ask IPHAS for advice, particularly on the new legislation. The team needs more advisors to help deal with these requests.

To register your interest, or for more information, please contact IPHAS’s friendly secretary, Sheila Aldous. You can telephone her on 0800 612 6273 (freephone) or email sheila@iphas.co.uk.
