Durham dealThe specialist holiday parks team of agent Colliers International has just sold two high quality parks in County Durham, namely Kingfisher and Heatherview Country Parks, near Stanhope in the Wear Valley. These parks boast a combined total of 439 holiday home pitches and have planning permission in place to develop further. The vendors, Park Leisure 2000, acquired the parks in 1999 and have sold to the expanding Verdant Leisure for an undisclosed sum.

‘Holiday parks of this size, quality and trading record rarely become available to acquire and it was no surprise that they fitted the criteria of a progressive operator such as Verdant,’ said Richard Moss, head of Colliers International’s parks team, who advised Park Leisure on the sale.

He added,‘The demand for quality parks remains high and we are delighted to have brokered a discreet deal between two excellent companies.’
