Some lucky kids, both big and small, were able to wait for Santa in their caravans and motorhomes this year, as the Camping and Caravanning Club welcomed campers right through the Christmas period and into the New Year, both here in the UK and further afield on their Continental sites.

Seventeen Club Sites in the UK were open until early January, while 12 more are open year-round anyway. Some of the sites hosted special events for campers over Christmas, with Salisbury (Wiltshire) laying on a mulled wine and Christmas quiz afternoon on Christmas Eve and Bellingham (Northumberland) throwing open the doors of its cosy recreation hall for campers on-site on New Year’s Eve.

In addition to the ‘New Year Fizz’ party, the site also held a quiz and film night on New Year’s Day on its big screen.
