The Riverwood is a strikingly contemporary option from Victory. Bella Brodie reports…

When scouring the marketplace for new lodges to review, there’s nothing we love more than a model that jumps out visually, making you stop in your tracks and have a good look around to see the rest of it.

That’s exactly how we’ve stumbled upon the Riverwood, a very striking model from Victory Leisure Homes. As a manufacturer, Victory has stepped into a new era in the past year or so with the very modern Lakewood lodge leading the way for its new generation of holiday homes. Yet there are more great models in the range that are also well worth a closer look, and the Riverwood really stands out as another of great merit.

LAYOUT AND ACCOMMODATION
The model shown here is a 40ft x 14 single unit two-bedroom leisure home with residential spec, and the Riverwood is also available as a three-bedroom model at 41ft x 13. If you choose the BS: 3632 (2015) residential spec that adds another foot onto the width, taking those measurements to 41ft x 14 and 40ft x 14 respectively.

Entry is via an open living area incorporating the dining space, kitchen and lounge. The master bedroom features a functional dressing closet/walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower room, and that en suite is mirrored in layout for the family shower room. In the two-bedroom model there is an L-shaped twin-bedded room; in the three-bedroom model a little space is taken from the master, allowing for two further twin-bedded rooms to sleep six. There’s also the option of a pull-out bed in the lounge in either sized model.

EXTERNAL SPECIFICATION
The residential specification is part of the Platinum Pack, which is selected in conjunction with the Lifestyle Pack, adding Artefoam cladding (CanExel is another option), trace heating, a Bluetooth surround sound system, gas condensing combi-boiler with thermostatic radiators and low-E glass on all double glazing. These elements are carefully considered to ensure maximum comfort and practicality for those choosing to use their unit at any time of year, so are well worth having anyway.

To the front, there are full-length windows with French doors, and the chassis is fully galvanised, ensuring that whatever the location, coastal or inland, it will have maximum protection against the elements. A feature focal roof overhang with LED aspect lighting to the front aspect will add atmosphere to the decking area at night.
